A significant exploit had been identified in Exim. This exploit allows attackers to execute code as the root user on your server without authentication and was rated a 9.8 out of 10 in severity.
While Version 80 was never vulnerable to this exploit, and we released a patch for Version 78 last night, the recently End of Life Version 70 and Version 76 remained vulnerable. More details were released today, including information on exactly how to gain root access to a remote server.
Please refer this article for more details.
If you are using cPanel/WHM, please raise a ticket ASAP, and our team will help you to patch the exploit.
We have re-stocked RAID 10 SSD Compute instances. Note the SSD option when deploying your server, to ensure it is SSD 😀
To fight email SPAM, port 25 on all new and old Compute instances will be blocked upon instance creation.
If your instance needs to send emails which do not violate our policies against spamming you can raise a support ticket requesting to unblock port 25 with a valid use case.
Note: if your port was unblocked earlier, you shouldn’t worry
We have separated abuse reports from support tickets so that you can have a clear view on the status of your support tickets and abuse reports.
cPanel/WHM has been the number one choice when it comes to paid hosting control panels (at least for us), and our clients love it. We’ve seen many clients start their hosting business on CloudCone utilizing cPanel/WHM
To provide better cPanel/WHM support and faster licensing, we are glad to announce the direct NOC partnership with cPanel.
Check out our partner page here and drop in a comment 😊
